Book Review

Publisher's Note:

Come along with Fly Guy as he asks (and answers!) over fifty "why?" questions! Why do I have to brush my teeth? Why do cats climb trees if they can't get down? Why do elephants have trunks? And more! There are also science projects and fun activities -- so kids can use what they've learned in a hands-on way! With engaging full-color photographs on every page, content appropriate for a young audience, humorous artwork, and colorful comic strips starring their favorite character Fly Guy, this book is perfect for kids in Pre-K and Kindergarten! *This 128-page paper-over-board book even has eye-catching holographic foil on the front cover and spine!*…

Overall Book Review:

This is such a fun book! The large pages are full of beautiful photographs, comic strips, and illustrations to assist the reader in grasping the concepts being taught. The facts are interesting and applicable to everyday life. Questions range from: ‘Why do I bruise?’ to ‘Why do cats get stuck in trees?’ to ‘Why do stop signs have 8 sides?’. There are some instances where I wanted the author to go into a bit more detail, but overall, this book will satisfy the curiosity of young children and push them to further investigate the world around them.

This book is broken down into four sections that focus on the human body, animals, nature, and other cool stuff. Each section has a science experiment and an activity to further the learning process. This book is perfect for the inquisitive mind!

About the Reviewer

My favorite books are ones that change me and my perceptions of the world in a significant way. My favorite genre is probably historical fiction with biographies as a close second.
