Romantic Read Recommendations For Young Adults and Adults

Pink Heart ImageWith Valentine’s Day right around the corner, thoughts turn to romance (or maybe the lack thereof).  Yes, there is a romance section in the library and some romances are 100% that–complete with the standard cover. (We all know what they look like.)  However, many books are not a single genre these days, but rather a mix and mash-up and it does seem like a lot of books have elements of romance in them.  For our recommendations we were looking for an eclectic mix of books that are sweepingly romantic, whether they be considered historical fiction or young adult dystopian.  We asked our reviewers and scoured our database of over 1,500 books to find romantic books (all with a ratings of 5 or less in all content categories).  Here is what we came up with!

The Best Romance Books and Romance Authors

An accountant and CPA by profession, I found myself a book reviewer for Squeaky Clean Reads by happenstance. When the opportunity came to transform that website into Compass Book Ratings, I was excited to seize it and meld my business background with my love of books. As the mother of three teenage sons, I have read a large number of children and young adult books and I believe that there is great value in a content review service. As much as we would love to read everything our children read, there just isn’t enough time. I also appreciate being able to select books for myself that are really worth my precious and limited reading time. I believe there is a book out there for everyone–they just have to find it!
