Here is the round-up of the winner and honor books for 2023. We were particularly fond of the the winner, Freewater. All the books, while generally solid, were diverse. The Last Mapmaker and Freewater probably have the most adventure appeal for a younger reader, while the other two honor books hit some heavy themes.
