Ever since I was little, reading has been a huge part of my life, and even now I find it is one of my favorite things to do! Usually when I go to the library, I end up leaving with embarrassingly huge stacks of books, which I usually finish within the week. I’ll read almost any genre, though I prefer fantasy and mystery – Sarah Beth Durst and Shannon Hale being some of my favorite authors.
While reading The Reign, the final installment of Lynne Stringer's Verindon series, I was not disappointed. This book did everything it promised and tied up all the loose ends perfectly. I couldn't pu…
I was blown away by The Crown by Lynne Stringer. This novel, the second in the series, was a far cry from her first novel, The Heir.  All the characters were more fully developed; the internal and ext…
I've always been a fan of mystery/spy books, and Also Known As did not disappoint! In the spirit of Heist Society, Robin Benway has crafted an intricate spy syndicate and threaded it into a fantastic …
I loved this book! Going Vintage by Lindsey Leavitt is an extremely relatable and, yet, unique book. It was a joy to read!  The characters are well-rounded and original; they are stereotypical enough …

Not Exactly a Love Story has been described as being similar to The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I personally think a more accurate description is a mix of Back to the Future and A Cinderella Story. T…
The Heir by Lynn Stringer is an enthralling sci-fi story about a girl named Sarah who is more than she appears to be. The story has a strong romantic and emotional plotline reminiscent of New Moon by …
Swept Up By The Sea is a story within a story--with other stories inside it. Basically, it's a brand new fairytale with a twist. The fantasy world is well-crafted and consistent, and the writing shows…
Artemis Fowl is a modern story with re-imagined versions of fairies. Written by an Irishman, this book has many good components, and a few not as good. Eoin Colfer really connects you to his character…
The first book in The Ruby Red Trilogy, Ruby Red ends with a suspenseful and romantic cliffhanger that will leave you dying for more. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the next book, and almost decid…
The Maze Runner by James Dashner is a dystopian novel with many elements of sci-fi, some of which are closely bordering fantasy. It seems that Dashner stretches the futuristic technology to create the…
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is the first book in the hugely popular Harry Potter series. In this book, J. K. Rowling creates a richly detailed, thriving magical world. There are no holes in …
