Come November, Book Cover
Don’t let the title fool you. This is a book set in the summer–perfect for summer reading. Contemporary YA with a whole lot going on.

Dragon Teeth, Book Cover
Dinosaurs and the Old West? Just go with it.
This novel is full of adventure, daring, and scheming, mixed with a little romance and some science, such as it was in the 1800s.

Impostors, Book Cover
Excellent cast of characters with fabulous cities and technology to fire your imagination. From the author of the Uglies Series.

Bonnie and Clyde, Book Cover
Who says non-fiction can’t be amazing?! This story is both horrifying and frightening at times. Check it out.

The Kremlin Conspiracy, Book Cover

With an uncanny insight into politics, the depth of this story is like the layers of an onion but taken to an extreme.  Nail-biting would be a fitting description for the suspense this book creates.

The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe, Book Cover
Engaging dystopian novel with a fantastic female character who will keep you guessing!
An accountant and CPA by profession, I found myself a book reviewer for Squeaky Clean Reads by happenstance. When the opportunity came to transform that website into Compass Book Ratings, I was excited to seize it and meld my business background with my love of books. As the mother of three teenage sons, I have read a large number of children and young adult books and I believe that there is great value in a content review service. As much as we would love to read everything our children read, there just isn’t enough time. I also appreciate being able to select books for myself that are really worth my precious and limited reading time. I believe there is a book out there for everyone–they just have to find it!
