When three unlikely characters from different time periods join forces to save the world, they’re faced with what seem to be impossible tasks. This isn’t your typical time travel story though. Along with some interesting history in this page-turner, you’ll also enjoy a superhero, an unintentional villain, and some seriously creepy characters who make for nail-biting suspense. Jjust when you’re certain you know how things will turn out, Scarrow throws in a surprise. This story also includes unlikely friendship, humor and tear-inducing events. This would be a great choice for a book club. I found myself frequently wanting to discuss the book with someone. It really makes you think about different events and whether or not the world would be better if certain things in the past had not occurred or if they had been slightly different. As book one of a seven-book series (possibly more), both male and female readers will enjoy this four star historical fiction adventure.
