The Unicorn Rescue Society: Basque Dragon is the second book in the series. I have not read the first book and was still able to catch on and understand the backstory. This is a story of fantasy, folklore, and culture. The Unicorn Rescue Society has a mission to rescue mythical creatures from dangers. In this installment of the series, the main characters, Elliot and Uchenna, are to rescue a herensuge dragon in the Basque region of Spain.

There is danger, mythical creatures, adventure, and travel. This book is written for a young, independent reader audience and would appeal to both genders. It is similar to the series The Imaginary Veterinarians by Suzanne Selfors.
