The Reign

by Lynne Stringer

Overall Book Review:

While reading The Reign, the final installment of Lynne Stringer’s Verindon series, I was not disappointed. This book did everything it promised and tied up all the loose ends perfectly. I couldn’t put it down! I even cried near the end. The characters have come a long way since the first book, and you can tell by Stringer’s detailed descriptions. Along with her dynamic characters, Stringer has crafted her plot in a way that, even though she keeps you guessing, every piece is necessary for the puzzle to be complete. The Reign is like a good movie–plenty of action for the boys, romance for the girls, and enough mystery to keep everyone on the edge of their seats. This book covers most genres, although I would further recommend it to anyone who loves happy endings. Before you think this is a fluffy, pink, cotton-candy type of book, think again. Happy doesn’t mean everything ends up perfect, but if you want a good book to read, this one is perfect for you.

About the Reviewer

Ever since I was little, reading has been a huge part of my life, and even now I find it is one of my favorite things to do! Usually when I go to the library, I end up leaving with embarrassingly huge stacks of books, which I usually finish within the week. I’ll read almost any genre, though I prefer fantasy and mystery – Sarah Beth Durst and Shannon Hale being some of my favorite authors.
