Adam Gidwitz, along with Emma Otheguy, delivers the final installment of The Unicorn Rescue Society, The Madre De Aguas of Cuba. Fans of the series will be happy to know that the adventure and quirkiness continues. Those who haven’t been able to check out earlier books in the series will easily be able to jump right in and understand the storyline. The authors provide us with excellent characters who keep the readers’ interest. Plus, as a quick-paced story, this novel will appeal to those who might otherwise be averse to picking up a book, as it often has the reader at the edge of his or her seat. Adding a bonus to enjoying the story, readers can learn a little Spanish along the way (or get to use what they’ve learned) because there is a decent amount of it throughout the pages. Coming in at four stars, both female and male readers will enjoy this entertaining work of fiction.
