Robert Frost said, “Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.” This book is evidence of the many years Keith and Debbie McCrary have spent together and a love that grows deeper as each year goes by. They express their hearts to each other in their poetry making it clear that God is their first priority and they love having each other as a partner in this life. We each have ups and downs, and Keith and Debbie are no different. They always seem to go back to the basics: their love for each other. Sometimes the poetry is a little corny, but always endearing and heartwarming. These poems are sure to make the reader laugh out loud at times and at other times, maybe wipe a tear away. It’s impressive in this throw away world that this couple has been married for 33 years so far and are still looking forward to another 33 years. Their love for their Heavenly Father and each other is evident in all they say to each other.
This is probably not your typical poetry book but it’s good. It flows well and makes it clear that they are not just writing about every day stuff but about the love they feel for each other day in and day out. Their focus is on God, their children, and each other. Complete with poetry, photos, Scripture, and quotes, this book is sure to make the reader smile.
