Starfish Pier by Irene Hannon is another book in the Hope Harbor novel collection. If you have read previous books in this series then you know what to expect. Characters you loved from past books are here and new ones enter to bring life to the story.
In this particular story, Hannon tackles the challenges of physical disabilities, terminal illness, the death of a spouse, and so much more. Readers will find themselves attached to various characters because they relate to their experiences themselves. In many instances, readers will be reminded of the other Hope Harbor residents they met in previous books, but the author does not dwell too much on these.
The story feels much like the other books written about Hope Harbor. Reading it brings back feelings of nostalgia and home. If you like to read about people striving to overcome challenges in a non-threatening environment, then this book could be just what you are seeking.
