The title and cover art of this book promise a fun adventure with a side of whimsy, and it delivers just that. Young readers who enjoy martial arts, spy stories, and humor will devour this book. Aimed at younger readers, the chapters are short and there is an occasional picture. (The art is so charming that more would have been welcomed, but note that the review was of an ARC so final publication may have more art.) The sisters have spy gadgets (of course!) that are fanciful and fitting: ribbons with different attributes for fighting, reviving chocolate, and a special, stuffed-pony that in the hands of a certain 6-year-old is a formidable weapon. The author crafted each of the sisters with a unique personality so readers will most likely be able to identify with at least one of the characters. Themes in the book revolve around family, sisterhood, serving the greater good, and overcoming fears. This is the first book in a planned series which promises to be enjoyable.
