Lonely and confined, Lucy grasps an opportunity to return to the estate of Rosewood at her cousin’s invitation, hoping the escape will lift her spirits, keeping her departure secret from her protective parents. Road to Rosewood

by Ashtyn Newbold

Overall Book Review:

Road to Rosewood is a fantastic addition to Cedar Fort’s Pure Romance series! Author Ashtyn Newbold brings the story to life with vivid characters and a fast-moving plot. Readers will love Rosewood’s spunky heroine Lucy. Lucy is not a traditional damsel-in-distress, but a woman who finds strength in herself and is determined to find her own destiny. Her chemistry between heartthrob (and sometimes ‘bad boy’) Nicholas is unmistakable and their dialogue is filled with humor and heart. As an added bonus, many of the story’s secondary characters are main characters in other Newbold books. While Road to Rosewood can definitely be enjoyed on its own, it’s delightful to read and develop literary relationships with characters from Newbold’s other titles. Road to Rosewood will bring a smile to any face. Highly recommended!

About the Reviewer

My mother was the one who sparked my love of books. Long before school instruction, she sat me down and taught me to read. My childhood was filled with trips to the library and bookmobile to find great books. My first loves were The Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder and the Pippi Longstocking series by Astrid Lingren. Now as a mom and speech pathologist, I am constantly looking for good, clean books to use at home and in therapy. I enjoy reading many different genres, but my favorites are usually historical fiction. I married my best friend, the “boy next door”, and we have a beautiful little girl who we often find sprawled out on the floor, flipping through picture books. Together our family likes to swim, run and play tennis. Besides reading, I also love to bake, garden and travel.
