Raging Waters is Dana Mentink’s second book in the Elements of Danger series. Reading the first book is not required to follow and understand the events in Raging Waters. The story begins with a strange scenario that turns into even stranger events which lead to a crazy run through the Washington Wilderness. Overall, this was a better book than the first because it seemed as though the characters were a little bit wiser in some ways.
There was one plot point that initially seemed to have a glaring issue, but by the time the book was over, the author had resolved or addressed the situation and life is good. There are so many interesting characters in the story, and the author does a great job of unifying the lives of her main protagonists and their supporting characters as well.
If you love mad escapes from crazy floods, dodging bad guys, and romantic tension all wrapped up into one, this book is for you. Dive in and don’t expect to come up for breath until you are safely at the end of this exciting tale.
