This spunky retelling of Jane Austen’s novel is perfect for young adults who want a light-hearted read that tells how love outlasts time. The plot is not overly complicated but does factor in what it would be like to search not only for love, but for a love that Jane can take to the temple.
Going back to the Jr. High days, this book reminds readers of the power of little love notes, no matter how old a person is. It shows the protective nature of Neil, who wants to take care of Jane in an old-fashioned way, and it shows the rekindling of sparks that were always there. I flew through this book quickly and enjoyed its charm!
