This book is a sequel to My Vampire Vs. Your Werewolf, and it follows up nicely and is even better than the first installment. The fun of protagonist monsters that are friendly to the children in the story is still a prominent part of this story. The thrill and suspense of finding out which monster will win will keep young audiences reading and invested until the very end. This book is filled with heart, and the young trainers are easy for readers, particularly young ones, to relate to. The writing is descriptive, the plot is engaging, and the setting is consistent and well-constructed. This is an excellent book for middle grade readers.
