Kate Breslin takes readers back to England and World War I in In Love’s Time. Those who read the book Not by Sight will be delighted to be back with Clare, Grace, Jack, and Marcus. Things are even more complicated than they were previously, and it is painful to read. The story follows all manner of intrigue, espionage, and the ever-present romantic challenges.
The historical aspects of the story weave themselves amidst the adversity and experiences of the readers. It is intense at times, poignantly sweet at others, and frustrating and aggravating in other ways. All because the author reels readers in emotionally, plays with them a little as she wrings them out emotionally. This is a great opportunity to delve into history and the emotions one might experience.
Romantics are going to love reading this story. The characters are interesting and intriguing. The plot is filled with uncertainty and emotion. Swoon-worthy, perhaps. Certainly, it is worth the read.
