This book is a cute compilation of quips and jokes about growing old such as “At my age, happy hour is nap time.” and “Funny, I don’t remember being absentminded”.  Having read many books by this author, I was expecting something slightly different when I ordered this book.  However, it is cute and would make a perfect gift for someone approaching a “milestone” birthday or anyone who appreciates a humorous look at aging.

An avid reader, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t the proud owner of a library card. My earliest memories involve my mother reading to my sisters and me, and she successfully instilled a love of books and reading in all of us. I started out with Dick and Jane, advanced to the Bobbsey Twins, then Nancy Drew Mystery Stories, and the Hardy Boys and never stopped. My genre of choice is non-fiction; especially biographies, but history and historical fiction are right up there too.
