Regency fans will enjoy Drops of Gold by Sarah M. Eden.  Although this is the second book in a series about the Jonquil brothers, it stands alone.   The author did an excellent job of making sure that every scene contributed to the plot.  Notably different from similar offerings of this genre in that there were no gratuitous scenes just to make the book longer. 

The story employs the typical method of a character making a rash decision which ultimately results in the predicament or situation upon which the book is based.  The dialogue is not as scathing as that of Jane Austen, but the interaction between the characters is pleasurable and even amusing at times.

A very quick read with plenty of intrigue and character development.  Readers will be pleased to note that Sara M. Eden has written several other Regency novels.  Pick this up for a fun read with some serious themes worthy of contemplation!
