Deadly Intentions by Lisa Harris is a story of corruption and greed, but also a story of romance and healing. Caitlyn Lindsey is in an uncomfortable situation as she tries to figure out who is killing off her friends and coworkers. She turns to Josh Solomon for help and the two of them are off on a crazy and dangerous adventure to find the truth.
Many novels of this type seem to put the characters in constant danger and have them constantly running from their enemies. There are a few sections like that here, but the author was more selective about how many confrontational scenes she had in the story. Don’t be misled though, the characters are still in danger and don’t know who to trust, but they have a little room to breathe between attacks.
There is a lot of intrigue and mystery as to who can be trusted and who is really behind the issues confronted by the main characters. The side character Eddie is a really interesting person as well. The romance in this book is done well without making it the focus of the story.
