Publisher's Note:

The last words Ash hears her mother say are, “When you fall in love, you will carve out your heart and throw it into the deepest ocean. Blood and Salt

Overall Book Review:

Blood and Salt could be dually listed as horror and romance.  And when you have that combination, you almost always have a recipe for success.

Ash has always been a bit different.  She sees things.  The things she sees are creepy…and its getting worse.  When her mother disappears, Ash and her twin brother Rhys go on a rescue mission.  On the way they will discover the truth about their family, the truth about themselves and will discover love in the most unlikely of places.

This book also deals with the occult and the impact years of shared history can have on a population.  The population of Quivara is convinced they will receive immortality when their leader returns.  Little do they know that their path to immortality is the same path that has been killing dozens of their neighbors over hundreds of years.  And the cornfield that they see as their safety net is the one thing that they may never escape.

Filled with twists and turns that will keep you turning page after page, it sets up perfectly for a sequel that readers will be running to shelves to grab.

About the Reviewer

I am a full-time mom, full-time wife, and overtime reader. I have been an avid reader for as long as anyone can remember. It must run in the family because both my mother and grandmother are also voracious readers and often pass books back and forth. Almost any genre can spark my interest, but I often go in streaks, reading a bunch of books from one genre, then switching to another for a while and back again.
