Books and reading have always been an important part of my life. When I was very young, my grandma was the library director at our local public library. Years later, after she had retired, I became a librarian at the same library and worked there for several years before taking a part-time job at a local coffee shop, which gives me more time to do what I love, to read and to review books! A few of my favorite authors are Aimee Bender, Diane Chamberlain, and Curtis Sittenfeld however, I will read almost any book I come across! In my spare time you can find me reading (of course), volunteering at a wildlife animal rehab, or hanging out with my three house rabbits.

YA suspense seems to be a popular theme in my reading choices lately and I find I am really enjoying the trend. I'll be honest, any time I read the synopsis of a book and see that boarding school and …
I am often guilty of judging a book by its cover, and I must say that to me, the cover of This Poison Heart looked like a middle-grade book. Don't get me wrong, I really like the cover--it j…
I don't know about you, but the thought of being injured and consequently losing part of my memory is terrifying. Just thinking about that possibility makes my stomach turn a bit. So, when That W…
Having read most of the books that Gayle Forman has written, I felt that I should probably give this one a go as well. A few things intrigued me when I read the synopsis. We Are Inevitable h…
As children, we typically take our parents word as truth. We have no reason to question their honesty and trust them to take care of us and love us. When we first meet Phoenix, the protagonist of …
I try to keep up with authors that I enjoy reading and pick up their latest book releases as they are published, and A.S. King is one of them. Though her books are often very obscure and confusing at …
