Books and reading have always been an important part of my life. When I was very young, my grandma was the library director at our local public library. Years later, after she had retired, I became a librarian at the same library and worked there for several years before taking a part-time job at a local coffee shop, which gives me more time to do what I love, to read and to review books! A few of my favorite authors are Aimee Bender, Diane Chamberlain, and Curtis Sittenfeld however, I will read almost any book I come across! In my spare time you can find me reading (of course), volunteering at a wildlife animal rehab, or hanging out with my three house rabbits.

If you are in the mood for a story that is filled with light mystery, ghosts, and murder, then Little Wolves might be the book for you. I had heard a lot of high praise surrounding this…

With the large amount of young adult fiction being published today, it can be difficult to know where to start. I am guilty of judging books by their covers, even though from experience I know covers …
A mother who blames herself for her child's disease, ghosts from the past, a divorce, a missing child . . . these are all subjects (among others) that play an important role in What I had Be…
I have never read anything by Elizabeth Strout before, although her books have caught my eye more than once. With the release of a new book recently, I realized I should get acquainted with some of he…
The cover of this book reminded me of illustrations seen on Lois Lenski's books for young readers. Books I used to read back when I was in grade school, and enjoyed for the wholesome stories they told…
After reading this book, I have come to the conclusion that I want a summer home on the island of Nantucket. One where I can relax, walk on the beach, enjoy simple meals...sounds like a dream, right? …
Do you have a memory of your childhood, of a time and place where anything seemed possible and everything seemed perfect? Blissful with ignorance and a sense of safety and maybe a hint of magic m…
I really didn't know a lot about this book before I started reading it. I knew the premise of the story, and the fact that the cover had a skeleton key (the copy I read did; I am mildly obsessed with …
