Books and reading have always been an important part of my life. When I was very young, my grandma was the library director at our local public library. Years later, after she had retired, I became a librarian at the same library and worked there for several years before taking a part-time job at a local coffee shop, which gives me more time to do what I love, to read and to review books! A few of my favorite authors are Aimee Bender, Diane Chamberlain, and Curtis Sittenfeld however, I will read almost any book I come across! In my spare time you can find me reading (of course), volunteering at a wildlife animal rehab, or hanging out with my three house rabbits.

Anne Frank has always been a person of interest to me. Even at a very young age I was fascinated by her story and the horrors she must have survived. This obsession with all things Anne has led to me …
I don't know why people that are categorized as social oddities, outcasts, and freaks are something that fascinate me so, but they do.--And I will be the first to admit it. So when I saw Savage G…
Imagine living every day of your life in fear--and having the source of that fear come from within your own family no less. I am pretty sure many of us would agree we have it pretty good in regards to…
I would have to say that even after reading this book, I am of the opinion that it is in a genre of its own. Usually I can put a book into a category of some sort once I am finished, but that was not …
Perfect for a read on a bright spring or summer day, or even in the winter to bring back memories of warmer weather--Summer of The Gypsy Moths is a charming book that will entertain readers of ma…
If you have been looking for an engaging book to read, you may have just found it. Take an overly cautious single mother, her adolescent son, and a surprise male visitor over Labor Day weekend, a…
The beautiful illustrations on the cover of this book are what initially interested me and made me pick up this hefty start to a trilogy. You might recognize the artist's style from The Myst…
