Books and reading have always been an important part of my life. When I was very young, my grandma was the library director at our local public library. Years later, after she had retired, I became a librarian at the same library and worked there for several years before taking a part-time job at a local coffee shop, which gives me more time to do what I love, to read and to review books! A few of my favorite authors are Aimee Bender, Diane Chamberlain, and Curtis Sittenfeld however, I will read almost any book I come across! In my spare time you can find me reading (of course), volunteering at a wildlife animal rehab, or hanging out with my three house rabbits.
This book is so adorable I can hardly stand it! I thought it would just be a cute, light read--which it was--but it offered so much more! To begin with, Nell Dare, the young protagonist, is smart, str…
I don't consider myself an artist by any means, but the world of fine art calls to me in books. Almost every fiction book that has some sort of art history in it mesmerizes me. I always finish them wa…
Having planned for my own wedding within the past few years, this book kind of hit home for me. I, too, remember the nights of worrying what might go wrong, and where I would find the time to get ever…
My nine-year-old self is still feeling magically entranced by this book and its characters. Even as an adult, I felt myself being pulled into this story and entering the world of Camp Atropos, a camp …
I have been a big fan of Sarah Weeks, ever since I read her book So. B It, when I was a young teen. This book has nothing on her previous books, but it is still something I enjoyed. This boo…

I grew up reading the series Mother-Daughter Book Club. I loved them so much. So when I saw there was a new installation in this series, I had to get my hands on it. I read it and fell in love all ove…
Despite the fact that this book doesn't look perfect, the message it contains is very on point. Upon reading this book, I did notice a couple of things that could be changed to make the layout more ap…
This book is so good, and I can't wait for someone else to read it so we can gush about it together. I have read Siobhan Vivian's previous books, and I can't say they were especially memorable, but th…
At first this book may not seem like it, but it is a novel about disappearance. It is also about a young gang member who doesn't seem to have a moral compass. East and his brother Ty don't really know…
I have long been a fan of Anna Quindlen. Something about her writing style just satisfies me in a way that other authors' books don't. The covers of her books are usually quite beautiful, but I think …
Move over, Gone Girl, Fiona Barton has arrived and she is a force to be reckoned with. This book was so great! I hope that it gets all of the attention that past blockbuster titles have, if not m…
