Book Review

Publisher's Note:

A Secret to Die For by Lisa Harris starts right into the action-packed story. No time is wasted building up character's personalities and their relationships. The relationships and character development are done as readers eagerly follow Grace Callahan and Detective Nate Quinn on a harrowing adventure. This is not a sit on the couch and snuggle up for a cozy romance sort of book. The story makes it tough to know exactly who is causing all of the issues and why, but many hints are dropped. Grace Callahan's story is heartbreaking and readers will feel emotional bonds with her. As things progress, it becomes apparent that Grace's motives are based largely on past experiences and anguish. Lisa Harris really aimed at tugging heartstrings by selecting the day she did for everything to happen. Detective Nate Quinn is dealing with PTSD and the story begins on his first day back after losing his partner. Readers have to hope he is up to his job of protecting Grace and solving the crime. Lots of emotional issues stem from this experience as well. Those who love romantic, action-packed stories will appreciate this novel. There is never a dull moment as Lisa Harris keeps readers on the edge of their seats.
