The Hope of Cheyenne series by Tracie Peterson concludes with the third book, A Moment to Love. The book can be read as a standalone, but it is a much richer story if one understands the other characters in the tale. This piece of historical fictions brings back all of the feelings from previous stories. It is a chance for readers to become reacquainted with their favorites and to meet new characters.
The main characters of Dr. Carrie Vogel and Spencer Duval are likeable and fascinating. The condition of their relationship is interesting, but also not an entirely unheard-of situation during the late 1800s. This is a simple read with complex relationships. Spencer Duval is a character that is fascinating, and readers may find themselves really investing in him finding true love and a path to forgiveness.
Many of the people in this story have opportunities to forgive and seek forgiveness. It tugs at the heart strings as they work through these challenges. Although the romance is sweet, the sweetness of forgiveness makes the story even better. The hardest thing about this book is knowing this is the end of the series and readers are forced to bid these folks farewell.
