In Too Deep is the second Dive Team Investigations novel penned by Lynn H. Blackburn. This can be read as a stand-alone, but the richness of the friendships and romantic relationships is enhanced by reading the first book.
The novel keeps a fairly quick-paced murder case from getting stale by constantly having the characters encounter danger and uncover new clues. In truth, it is a wonder these people manage to stay alive given how frequently they are injured in a short span of time. The actual solving of the murder entails a very emotional plot.
The best part of the book is watching Sabrina develop as a person. She is part of the investigative team focusing on electronics and cybersecurity. The relationship between Sabrina and Adam, a member of the Carrington dive team has been building from the first novel. Romantics will have more than one moment when they want to shout at Sabrina to get a clue and others where they can relax and enjoy the moments.
