Books and reading have always been an important part of my life. When I was very young, my grandma was the library director at our local public library. Years later, after she had retired, I became a librarian at the same library and worked there for several years before taking a part-time job at a local coffee shop, which gives me more time to do what I love, to read and to review books! A few of my favorite authors are Aimee Bender, Diane Chamberlain, and Curtis Sittenfeld however, I will read almost any book I come across! In my spare time you can find me reading (of course), volunteering at a wildlife animal rehab, or hanging out with my three house rabbits.

This series has created a lot of controversy in the past, but I took a chance and read this first book in the new graphic novel series, and it was so good! I read the original books several years ago,…
Are you craving more Gillian Flynn, but have already seen the movies and read all of her books? Me too. So when I saw she had a new book out, I was pretty excited. Unfortunately, this book is only 60 …
Browsings is a book for book lovers--or lovers of fine literature. At times it was a little over my head. Dirda talks about books I have never heard of (shame on me!), and the references he made …
If you are looking for a book that you can rip through in a day, then might I suggest you pick up Everybody Rise? I didn't really find myself able to relate to much that was going on in this book…
Schizophrenia is not a mental illness that I typically associate with teens, but when I looked at some charts and studies online, I saw that after the age of 14, the number of people with schizophreni…
For a while I was sure I did not want to read this book. It was set in the wrong time period, I don't care about women sheriffs, I wasn't looking for a historical novel--any excuse I could find, I was…
