Present Danger

by Elizabeth Goddard

Overall Book Review:

Elizabeth Goddard begins her Rocky Mountain Courage Series with an intense and quick view into Present Danger.  Right away readers are drawn into the story.  Around every corner there is a new clue and piece to the puzzle.  Then, just when you think you have everything figured out, Goddard comes in with surprises. One fun bit is having the chance to catch a glimpse of characters from other series written by Goddard.

The story involves multiple branches of government and law enforcement. It is nice to read about more than just FBI agents and police officers. The characters have many issues that sometimes impede their ability to accomplish their goals effectively.  The ever-present romantic tension keeps popping up even when characters do not really want to admit to it.

Goddard does a nice job of creating an intriguing story.  She adds danger and other things to keep the reader wanting to find out what is really happen.  One never knows what might happen next.
