Taking a look into the life of someone else is exactly what you do when you read this book, but is also the gift – or curse – of the main character. Autumn Rain is no ordinary woman in her bare feet, experience with herbs, and unusual gift of “reading” the imprinted memories in objects sentimental in nature. Most would find her odd, but her abilities and caring nature draw you into her character. Rachel Ann Nunes does an excellent job weaving these seemingly unusual characters into a story filled with twists and turns sure to keep you anxious for the next chapter. Although, some of the subplots, and even possibly the main plot, could be somewhat predictable, it doesn’t detract from the story, and almost every chapter includes a surprise. This is an excellent, clean, crime novel with a romantic love triangle
and a “new age” twist. Imprints is a great book for anyone wanting a little suspense and romance in a quick engaging read.

Content Analysis:
When comparing this book to many other popular crime novels, it’s most definitely clean, but the content does include, murder, torture, domestic abuse, kidnapping, brainwashing, fighting, deception, and blackmail. The main characters are in many situations where they are beat up, or hurt in some way, but nothing is overly descriptive or gruesome.
The love story/stories are clean and nothing sexual. Any mature teen above the age of 14 could handle this book, but it seems geared toward women in their late 20’s or early 30’s.
