Don’t Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard is the third and final book in the Uncommon Justice Series. It contains all of the classic hallmarks of the series. An intense scene to get things started and keep you going, a strained relationship rekindled to solve the mystery, a female who does unwise things which put her life in peril and uncertainty as to exactly how things will be resolved. Action-packed and interesting, this is a solid end to the series.
Reading this story brings all sorts of emotions. Goddard manages to weave her description of the Wyoming landscape seamlessly into her story in such a way to as to capture its beauty and ruggedness without directly spelling it out for the audience. The landscape is beautiful, but the suspense gives it a stark coldness as well.
This book invites the reader to get lost in the uncertainty and peril of others. It invites one to become an armchair sleuth and keeps readers a little on the edge until the very end. Don’t worry, there are plenty of romantic tidbits in here as well. Be prepared to experience it all in this exciting series conclusion.
