Traci Hunter Abramson has done it again with her third Luke Steele Novel, Silent Strike. At first, the reader is just following along with the main characters as they go about their business.  Hints are dropped about upcoming nefarious deeds. Everything is just as it should be, and then Traci hits the gas and readers are rocketed into a dangerous, high intensity story involving espionage and traitors.

The two main characters Luke Steele and Amberlyn Reiner are still the focus of the book. However, in this story, the author has chosen to make the focus less about their past issues and more about their present progress. It is refreshing to see an author help their characters develop rather than keeping them stagnant for the dramatic effect. This book has plenty of dramatic effect without that.

If you enjoy edge of your seat action, romance, and suspense, this story is great. The experience will be enhanced if you read the previous books. There is quite a bit you won’t quite understand if you start with this story. Can’t wait to see where the next book takes these two!
