Saving Shadow is an impressive and highly recommended debut novel by author Laura Beers. Billed as a ‘Regency Spy Romance,’ the story includes action, adventure, and a good amount of flirting! Set in early nineteenth century London, Saving Shadow starts with a bang and moves rapidly. Heroine Eliza is the quintessential female lead — strong, smart and sassy. Eliza exhibits a bevy of thoughts and emotions that make her realistic and winsome. Beers is a talented writer and creates many memorable scenes with colorful and vivid details. Beers also manages to tackle some heavy subject matter while including bits of humor to balance the book’s mood. Readers will be delighted with Saving Shadow — and as the first in a new series, Eliza’s adventures don’t have to end here! Pick up a copy today!
