Sarah, Plain and Tall

Overall Book Review:

This sweet story is based on a piece of the author’s own family history.  MacLachlan has taken that piece of history and added to it details and characters that make this short tale spring to life.

Told from the point of view of a young girl, innocence and hope can be felt with each turn of the page as she looks forward to Sarah’s arrival and then hopes that she will decide to stay.  A great length for the reader just starting to explore books on their own, I can highly recommend it to that audience.
