Melissa de la Cruz brings history to life as she completes the Alex & Eliza Trilogy, All for One. The previous books in the series were very enjoyable to read and the finale of the story of Alexander Hamilton and his wife, Eliza, was just as great. Learning the details about someone who was involved in the establishment of the United States is fascinating. He lived quite a colorful and captivating life and went out with a bang. Literally. Having a peek into his everyday life, family, struggles, and background remind you that everyone, no matter how famous, has similarities to us all. Alex certainly didn’t live a boring life so prepare yourself for a shock or two. He wasn’t the only one doing important things though. Eliza also contributed to making the young country a better place. Not only was it enjoyable to read about the life of Eliza and Alex, but several of the other characters also provided comic relief with their witty banter. Fans of historical fiction will love the story of this power couple in All for One.
