Liz Johnson has come out with her second book in the Georgia Coast Romance series. A Glitter of Gold has all of the classic hallmarks one would look for in a great story – pirates, hidden treasure, secret diaries and romance. Yes indeed, this story has a little of everything.
The way in which the story is written allows the reader to really feel the emotions that the characters are feeling. The two main characters Anne Norris and Carter Hale have a lot of family challenges that one really needs to feel to appreciate. As is often the case, there is a limited amount that can be said about this without spoiling the story, but the journal belonging to Carter’s family really adds to the story in a poignant and meaningful way.
Romantics will find themselves hopeful, frustrated, annoyed, and even a little crushed as they read this story. Enjoy this opportunity to escape from reality and enter into someone else’s world for a while. There is intrigue, romance and discovery to be had.
