Overall Review:

The 13th Sign was a surprisingly enjoyable book, but didn't quite manage to reach stardom.  It was fun to read with the voodoo and astrological elements adding an eerie feel to it while the vibrant setting of New Orleans provides a fresh backdrop for the story.  The main character is interesting in many aspects, and the novel's focus on personality combined with the author's skill allows the reader to easily see the characters developing and changing.  All it misses is that extra bit of something that makes a book especially memorable.  With its exciting storyline and large cast of characters, fans of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series will probably enjoy reading this novel.  A wonderful read, The 13th Sign will thrill readers of all ages!
