Publisher's Note:

Tucker's on his way to the biggest challenge of his career. Rena's already got it all---except a family of her own. But neither expected their friendship would take a turn like this. Now Tucker's got a proposal that will change everything. Saying yes would mean sacrificing all Rena's romantic notions, but it might be worth it to finally have a family that will last eternally.

Overall Review:

Entering into a marriage of convenience in order to save two orphaned children from foster care is not the "happily ever after" Rena always dreamed about. Her "knight in shining armor" is the man who tells her that the idea of being with her is not repulsive (great self-esteem booster). As for her "ride into the sunset" Rena discovers how much work a family is apart from her interior decorating job. Her "glass slipper" is forgotten as the family faces a trial so large it seems impossible to endure. The strong characterization of both Rena and Tucker lead into a compelling visualization of both love and pain. Rena never knew it could hurt this much, but she is determined to become stronger through it. Family by Design is a must read for those who believe women can do more than be rescued by handsome princes. This story of strength and endurance is sure to touch the heart.
