Overall Review:

If you are searching for a traditional tale to help you feel the spirit of Christmas, then look no further than Jason F. Wright's, Christmas Jars, specifically the Collector's Edition.  Filled with inspiring musings of hope and forgiveness, this little novella catalogs one young lady's fateful dilemma to serve herself, or her fellow men.  Classic third-person narrative encourages readers to cozy up to a fireplace, real or imagined, and let the magic of the words take you through a heartrending experience of family, fortitude, and faith.

This book reads to an extent, like a wise friend's reflection on their life,  making it more of a storytelling experience that feels personal and applicable.

The book is so tender and sweet; it really could be read by a person of any age. But it would be much more enjoyable for the younger readers to discover this treasure with an older family member, or perhaps to be read aloud by the family as a whole, as it is a condensed anecdote.

What's great about the Collector's Edition is that the end of the story really isn't the end at all! Included at the back of the book are folks across the U.S. sharing real accounts of how they've implemented the Christmas Jar into their lives. Whether they were the giver or the receiver, these recitals add a particularly charming tone to the overall story.

Oh, and did I mention the cover? Packaged in a petite hardback with red wrapping and gold foil, this is a book to be brought out every year to enjoy as a decoration and a reminder of the demonstrative story of charity nestled inside the quaint pages.
