Publisher's Note:

Will Hawkins is just a simple stable boy. How can he ever hope to woo Ella, his once-wealthy childhood friend who is stubbornly independent, especially when his competition is the prince? Without any magic or fairy godmothers, Will must show Ella that he is her true prince charming in this perspective twist of the Cinderella story.

Overall Review:

Jessilyn Stewart Peaslee is an incredible storyteller. Her re-telling of Cinderella from the point of view of the man who loved her before the prince is beautiful, heart-wrenching, and moving. Peaslee wrote Ella's Will as a companion book to Ella and while I've read books that flip the point of view from the one chapter to the next, I've never read two books about the same story from a different point of view. It was a clever and fun way to get to read a fantastic story twice. Ella is impossible to not love and the wicked stepmother and step-sisters are as awful as always. The prince, Will, the head housekeeper--all of them are just perfect. You'll even love the side stories that are intermingled with Ella and Will's story. Peaslee found just the right amount of suspense, loyalty, and romance in this elegant tale.

The epilogue gives a little hint to a follow-up story of Beauty and the Beast that will likely be as amazing. I can't wait! Fairytale fans, you must go out and purchase this book. Now. Also, pick up Ella. Start with that then immediately follow-up with Ella's Will. I don't usually read books more than once but these two books will be read again and again.
