Overall Review:

With the first Fantastic Beasts movie out in theaters (and more movies to come), you've got some studying up to do!

This clever short book is a perfect read for the Harry Potter nerd. With a fun introduction about the magical beasts, and a forward written by Albus Dumbledore, you can't go wrong.  But then there are scrawled notes written throughout the books, all by your favorite characters. So that is perfect.  Each of the beast descriptions are either a bit funny and clever, or slightly sinister in a way to draw interest. If you loved Harry Potter, you will like this background read. If you thought Harry Potter was just okay, you can probably skip this book. It is really a book for the true Harry Potter nerd.
