Overall Review:

Allegiant is the third and final book in Veronica Roth's bestselling Divergent trilogy. The story begins right where Insurgent left off and is told from both Tris and Four's point of view. Roth pens Allegiant with her typical frantic pace, adding just the right amount of action, romance, and intrigue to create a real page turner.

Upon its release, Allegiant lit up social media with its shocking ending. I didn't loathe the direction Roth took the story, but found it to be bittersweet and poignant. Unfortunately, I did feel the plot was unrealistic and at times, even predictable. The constant narrator switching grew incredibly confusing. Despite these missteps, I enjoyed Allegiant for its fast-paced, entertaining storytelling.
